Who Al Mamzar suits
Al Mamzar Beach Park is a gated park of roughly 100 hectares on a peninsula at the northern tip of Deira, on the border with Sharjah. Dubai Municipality opened it in 1994. It has five sheltered beaches with calm water, three pools, lawns and playgrounds, which makes it one of the best beaches in Dubai for families with young children. It is not a party beach, and men should note the ladies’ days before driving over.
Since May 2026 there is a second, free beach right beside it: Khor Al Mamzar Lagoon Beach, with a 24-hour night swimming section, a floating walkway and water sports. If you want night swimming or kayaking rather than chalets and pools, that is the one to head for. Both are covered below.

The five beaches and three pools
| Beach | Side of the park | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Nouras Beach | West, facing the Arabian Gulf | Calm swimming and open sea views |
| Murjan Beach | West | Families who want lawns close to the sand |
| Danah Beach | West | Quieter picnics away from the entrance |
| Flamingo Beach | West, near the chalets | Chalet guests, with a car park, toilets and a kiosk nearby |
| Sadaf Beach | East, facing the lagoon | Views across the water to the Sharjah skyline and sunset photos |
The beaches are separated by rocky groynes, which keeps the water calm, and each has shaded seating, showers and lifeguard towers. Swimming at the park beaches is allowed only in daylight, until sunset; for a swim after dark, use the night beach at Khor Al Mamzar next door.
The park also has three shaded swimming pools, split into adult and children’s pools, with changing rooms and lockers. Pool entry is a separate ticket, reported at AED 10 for adults and AED 5 for children, and pool hours are shorter than park hours. Staff are strict about proper swimwear in the pool area.
Al Mamzar ladies’ days explained
- Days: every Monday and Wednesday.
- Who: women, girls and boys aged up to 6.
- Exceptions: ladies’ days are suspended on public holidays and during Ramadan, when the park is open to everyone.
- Price: the standard entry fee applies.
Rules worth knowing
- Pets are not allowed inside the park.
- Swim only at lifeguarded beaches, in daylight, and where flags allow it.
- Barbecues only in the marked zones or at a chalet.
- Modest swimwear is expected in the pools and family areas.
- Drones need permission, and glass and loud speakers are best left at home.
Men and older boys are turned away at the gate on Mondays and Wednesdays. If you are planning a family day with fathers or teenage sons, pick another day.
Al Mamzar chalets: prices and booking
The park has 15 air-conditioned beach chalets, near Flamingo Beach. Each has seating, a TV, a small kitchen, a washroom, a beachfront view and a private outdoor barbecue area.
| Chalet | Capacity | Price per day | Hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | Up to 6 people | AED 150 plus 5% VAT and a AED 20 service fee | 9am to 9pm Sunday to Wednesday; 9am to 10pm Thursday to Saturday and public holidays |
| Large | 8 to 12 people | AED 200 plus 5% VAT and a AED 20 service fee | Same as above |
The chalet price does not include park entry, so everyone in your group still needs a ticket, plus the car fee if you drive in. Book through the Dubai Municipality website or app and pay online by card. With only 15 chalets, weekends from November to March sell out weeks ahead, so book as early as the system allows.

Best time to visit
October to April is beach season. In October, go early or after 4pm, when the sand has cooled. Weekday mornings are quietest. Weekend afternoons from November onwards are the busiest time, so arrive before 11am if you want to drive in and get a spot near the beach. The National Day and Eid long weekends are the busiest days of the year here; see our UAE public holidays 2027 guide before choosing a date.
Getting there by car
The park entrance is in Al Mamzar, at the end of Deira next to the Sharjah border. From Sheikh Zayed Road or the E11, head towards Sharjah and follow the signs for Al Mamzar near Al Mulla Plaza, or drive along Al Khaleej Street past the Corniche and the lagoon beach to the park gates. There are two entry gates, and you can pay for car entry at the gate if you want to park inside. A taxi from Deira takes about 15 minutes outside rush hour. Traffic towards the Sharjah border is heavy at weekday rush hours, so time your drive around it.
