Disclaimer

Last updated: 17 October 2026

UAE Cue publishes guides to help you plan outings in the United Arab Emirates. We work hard to make them accurate and current, but every guide has limits. Please read this disclaimer before relying on any information on uaecue.com. It forms part of our Terms of Use.

General information only

Everything on the site is general information to help you plan a visit. It is not professional, legal, financial, medical, safety or travel advice, and it is not tailored to your circumstances. It is not a substitute for checking with the venue, operator or authority concerned, or for taking advice from a qualified professional where you need it.

Hours, prices and dates change

We check every guide against the operator or an official source and show the date we last checked it. Even so, details in the UAE can change at short notice, including:

  • opening hours, which often change in Ramadan, on public holidays, in summer and for private events;
  • ticket prices, offers and promotions, which change by season, by day and by sales channel;
  • season dates, as many attractions open only from autumn to spring and announce dates late;
  • closures for maintenance, weather, safety or renovation, sometimes without warning;
  • rules, such as dress codes, age and height limits, booking requirements and permitted activities.

Prices are given in UAE dirhams and may or may not include 5% VAT; we say which where operators make it clear. Always confirm important details on the official website or with the operator before you travel, book or pay.

Expected and unannounced dates

Holidays that follow the Islamic calendar, such as Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha, depend on the sighting of the moon, so we show them as expected dates until they are officially announced. Festivals, seasons and events are often confirmed only weeks before they start; until then, our guides show last season’s details as a guide and label them clearly. Official government and organiser announcements always take priority over our guides. Your employer, school or organisation may have its own arrangements.

Rules, permits and fines

Some guides summarise rules set by municipalities, police, environment agencies and other authorities, for example on camping, barbecues, beaches, protected areas, drones and parks, and mention fines that have been reported. These summaries are for general guidance only. Laws, permits and penalties change, and they may differ between emirates and between sites. Check the current rules with the relevant authority, and follow signs and the instructions of officials on site. Nothing on the site is legal advice.

Outdoor and heat safety: the UAE’s heat, desert, mountains, wadis and sea can be dangerous. Hiking, camping, dune driving, off-road driving, swimming, kayaking and other activities are at your own risk. Check the weather and official warnings before you set out, avoid wadis and valleys when rain is forecast, carry plenty of water, avoid strenuous activity in the midday heat from May to September, swim only where it is permitted and supervised where possible, never go into the desert or mountains alone, and follow the instructions of park staff, lifeguards, guides and the authorities. In an emergency, call 999.

Health and fitness

Descriptions of trails, slides, rides and activities as easy, moderate or hard are general indications, not medical guidance. Height, weight, age and health restrictions are set by operators and may change. If you are pregnant, have a medical condition or are unsure whether an activity is suitable, ask the operator and seek medical advice before taking part.

Travel and flights

Where a guide involves travel to or around the UAE, check your flight status, airline notices and any official travel advice before leaving home. Flight schedules in the Gulf region have changed at short notice in 2026, and events may be postponed or changed for reasons outside the organisers’ control.

Accessibility information

Where we mention wheelchair access, step-free routes, facilities for people of determination or concessions, the information comes from operators and may be incomplete or change. Please contact the venue to confirm that it meets your needs before you visit.

Maps, directions and drive times

Directions, coordinates, Makani numbers and drive times are approximate. Roads, entrances and car parks change, traffic varies, and navigation apps can suggest unsuitable routes, such as sandy tracks. Drive times assume normal traffic and do not replace your own navigation and judgement.

Images

Images are used to illustrate guides and may not show a place exactly as it is today, or in every season. Featured covers include AI-generated editorial illustrations, identified in their image descriptions. They are visual representations rather than documentary photographs and should not be used to verify current appearance or access.

No affiliation or endorsement

UAE Cue is independent. We are not owned by, affiliated with or endorsed by any attraction, venue, operator, hotel, tour company, ticket seller or government body mentioned on the site, unless we say so clearly. Including a place in a guide, or ranking it, is not a guarantee of its quality, safety, hygiene or service, and is not an endorsement of the business.

Advertising, sponsored content and affiliate links

The site may display advertising served by third parties such as Google. Ads are selected by the advertising network, are kept separate from our guides, and do not influence what we write. An advertiser’s product or claim is the advertiser’s responsibility. If we ever publish sponsored content or use affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you, we will label them clearly on the page.

External links

We link to official and third-party websites so you can check details and book directly. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, prices, availability, privacy practices or security, or for the bookings and purchases you make on them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UAE Cue accepts no liability for any loss, injury, illness, inconvenience or damage resulting from the use of, or reliance on, information on this site, including changes to hours, prices, dates or rules, closures, travel disruption, or activities you choose to take part in. Our full Terms of Use apply.

Report an error

If you spot something that is wrong or out of date, please contact us, ideally with a link to the official source. We check every report and update the guide once the change is confirmed. You can read how we research and check our guides in our editorial policy.
