Entry fee and how paying for rides works
| Item | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Entry ticket | AED 5 per person | Covers entry only; some listings say young children and seniors go free |
| Rides and games | From about AED 10; big rides up to about AED 20 | Paid per ride |
| Game card | Top up from AED 100 | Bigger top-ups such as AED 100 or AED 200 add bonus credit |
| Glow Cats Park | About AED 5 extra | The cat park has its own small fee |
| Shopping hall, stage shows and open areas | Free once inside |
Buy the entry ticket at the gate, then either pay per ride at the counters or load a game card, which works out cheaper if your group plans more than six or seven rides. Cash and cards are both accepted, but carry some cash for small food stalls.
Sample budgets: a family of four paying entry and doing eight rides between them spends about AED 120 to AED 160 before food. Two adults who come mainly to shop and eat spend AED 10 on entry and whatever they buy.
Opening hours
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 11am to 11pm |
| Friday | 3pm to midnight |
| Weekends and holidays | Often open until midnight |
The operator’s own listing sometimes shows a later 3pm opening every day, and many rides only start running in the late afternoon. In practice, the park comes alive after 5pm, so plan an evening visit. Hours change in Ramadan and over Eid, when the park usually stays open later.
Rides by age
Festival Land has more than 30 rides and games. These are the main ones, grouped by who they suit:
| Ride | What it is | Best for | Typical price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Giant boat ride | A swinging pirate-style ship that climbs high on each swing | Older children, teens and adults | Upper end |
| 360-degree loop ride | Riders are strapped in and flipped through a full loop | Teens and adults; the park’s biggest thrill | Upper end |
| Chain swing ride | A tall swing carousel, billed as one of the longest in the region | Children from about 8, teens and adults | Mid range |
| Family roller coaster | A small steel coaster with no inversions | Families with children over about 6 | Mid range |
| Kiddie coaster | A gentle oval coaster | Ages 3 to 8, with a parent if small | Lower end |
| Merry-go-round | A classic carousel | Toddlers and young children | Lower end |
| Trampoline zone with slide | Bouncing and climbing area | Ages 3 to 12 | Lower end |
| Arcade and game stalls | Skill games with prizes | All ages | Per game |
Height and age limits are posted at each ride and checked by staff. Children must be supervised at all times, and smaller children usually need an adult on the bigger family rides.
Glow Cats Park, gardens and seasonal events
- Glow Cats Park: the park’s most unusual attraction, with giant glowing neon cat sculptures and an area where visitors can meet real, healthy cats, some available for adoption. Very popular with children; a small extra fee applies.
- Flower garden and petting zoo: photo spots and small animals for younger children.
- Observation deck: a raised viewpoint over the park and the Al Jurf skyline.
- Seasonal events: the park runs themed events through the year, including a summer splash event with water slides, foam and snow play, plus live shows, Eid and National Day programmes. Follow the official Festival Land website and social channels for dates.
Shopping and food
Often described as a “mini Global Village”, Festival Land has a large indoor shopping hall of around 10,000 square metres with more than 100 shops, including an abaya village with thousands of designs, plus clothes, toys, household goods and souvenirs. Food comes from kiosks and casual eateries selling local and international street food, from shawarma and grills to pizza, burgers, juices and sweets. Outside food is not encouraged, as there is plenty on site.
Who runs it and what else is nearby
Festival Land is operated by Happy Fun, which also runs Rashidiya Park in Ajman. The whole site covers about 90,000 square metres.
- Al Zorah Nature Reserve: mangroves, flamingos and kayaking, about 6 minutes away.
- Ajman Corniche: beach and seafront cafés, 10 to 15 minutes away.
- City Nas Shopping Mall and China Mall: right next door for more shopping.
Getting there
Festival Land is on Ittihad Street in Al Jurf Industrial 1, Ajman, close to City Nas Shopping Mall and China Mall. From Dubai, allow 30 to 45 minutes by car, longer at evening rush hour on the roads into Sharjah and Ajman. Parking is available around the venue. A taxi from Ajman Corniche takes about 10 to 15 minutes. For questions, the park’s customer service line is 055 179 1717.
Is it worth it?
Yes, if you want a cheap, lively evening with young children or a combined shopping and fun outing in the northern emirates. It is a local fairground rather than a theme park: smaller and simpler than Global Village or the big Dubai parks, but at a fraction of the price. For bigger thrills, compare our UAE theme parks guide.
- Things to do in Ajman: beaches, mangroves, museums and more.
- Al Zorah Nature Reserve: kayaking among the mangroves.
- Global Village: the big seasonal fair in Dubai.
- Parks in Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah: free green spaces for families.
- Dreamland Aqua Park: the waterpark up the coast in Umm Al Quwain.
