How Hatta Wadi Hub works
Hatta Wadi Hub is the adventure base at the foot of the Hajar mountains in Hatta, Dubai’s mountain enclave on the border with Oman, run as part of Hatta Resorts. You park, walk in and buy each activity from the operator that runs it. There are four main operators, each with its own hours and contact:

Mountain biking and hiking
The trails are the best value in Hatta: they are free, open all year from early morning, and colour-coded green, blue, red and black from easiest to hardest. The mountain bike network is the longest in the UAE, at around 50 km of cross-country trail, and the waymarked hiking network covers 40.6 km on the official trail map. Both start from the Wadi Hub.
| Option | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Riding or hiking the trails | Free | No booking; helmets required on bikes |
| Mountain bike hire | From about AED 65 an hour | From Hubbers at the trail centre, 6am to 6pm |
| Kids’ bike hire | About AED 45 an hour | |
| E-bike hire | About AED 150 for 3 hours | Good for the longer climbs |
| Guided sunrise or sunset hike | Priced on booking | Through Hatta Outdoor |
Heat and safety: the trails are exposed rock with little shade. Ride or hike from sunrise and finish by 10am outside the winter months, carry at least 2 litres of water each, and tell someone your route. Do not start a red or black trail late in the day.
Kayaking on Hatta Dam
The turquoise Hatta Dam lake, often called Hatta Lake, is the photo everyone comes for, and Hatta Kayak rents boats right on the water, a short drive from the Hub.
| Boat | Price | Who can use it |
|---|---|---|
| Single kayak | About AED 60 | 1 adult, 16+, up to 110 kg |
| Double kayak | About AED 120 to AED 150 | 2 adults and a child aged 2 to 4, up to 110 kg each |
| Pedal boats | About AED 120 to AED 150 an hour | Families |
| Water bike | At the counter | Adults 16+, up to 75 kg each |
| Donut boat | At the counter | Up to 4 adults and 2 children under 10 |
| Yellow boat | At the counter | Up to 3 adults and 1 child under 10 |
Go at 7am or 8am for glassy water and soft light; by late morning on weekends the jetty queue is long. Life jackets are provided and must be worn. Leem Lake Park also has a water play zone with kayaking, run by Hatta Flow, from 9am to 7pm.
Which activities are worth it?
- Best value: the free trails. Hire a bike for an hour or hike a green loop at sunrise.
- Best thrill: the Drop In. An hour of slides for AED 90 beats a single zipline run on time.
- Best view: the twin zipline, which flies over the wadi with the mountains around you.
- Best for groups: axe throwing and the gel ball arena.
- Best for small children: the Small Plunge, swan boats and pony rides, all under AED 30.
- Do not miss: a kayak on Hatta Dam, early in the morning.
Sample budgets: a couple doing the twin zipline, axe throwing and a single kayak each spends about AED 440. A family of four with two children doing archery, the Small Plunge and swan boats for the children, and a double kayak, spends about AED 250 to AED 300.
